Commercial Photography Studio in Delhi
If you’re running a business in Delhi and you need photography that actually sells — not just images that look nice scrolling past on a feed — you’re in the right place. FRT Studios is a commercial photography studio with two working locations in the city: our main studio in Chandni Chowk and a second, fully equipped setup in Karol Bagh. Between the two, we shoot everything from fine jewellery and export catalogues to full ecommerce listings for Amazon and Flipkart sellers, model and lifestyle campaigns for D2C brands, and short-form video content built for reels and product launches.
We built this studio around a problem we kept running into ourselves, and one that most of our clients had already run into before finding us: commercial photography in Delhi tends to sit at two extremes. On one end, there’s high-end agency work priced for large brands doing a single seasonal campaign. On the other, there are budget photographers who can produce a decent-looking image but have no real understanding of what a marketplace like Amazon or Flipkart actually requires before it will approve a listing. FRT Studios sits deliberately in between. We use professional lighting, proper retouching, and a production process built for volume — because most of our clients aren’t shooting once a year, they’re shooting every month, sometimes every week, as new stock comes in.
This page exists to answer the questions we get asked most before someone books a shoot: what exactly do we shoot, where are we located, what does it cost, and why choose us over the dozens of other studios listed in Delhi. We’ve tried to answer all of that honestly below, without burying it in vague marketing language.
It is correct to use commercial photography for the following;
The term commercial photography is too broad and different studios mean a lot of things. Here’s what it actually covers when you book a shoot with FRT Studios:
Product photoshoots — These are the bread and butter of our commercial work. Whether you’re shooting a single hero product for a website banner or a full catalogue of fifty SKUs for a new marketplace launch, product photography is built around clean, consistent lighting and a process that scales. We shoot on plain white backgrounds when that’s the requirement, styled backgrounds when you need brand personality, and flat-lay or 360-degree formats when the product calls for it.
Jewellery photography — This includes fine jewellery, silver, and diamond pieces, often shot specifically for export documentation and international marketplace listings. Jewellery photography has its own technical demands — macro focus, reflective surface control, and colour accuracy that has to survive compression on marketplace platforms — and it’s one of the specialties our Chandni Chowk studio was originally built around, given how close we are to Delhi’s wholesale jewellery trade.
Ecommerce shoots — Built specifically to meet Amazon and Flipkart image compliance from the very first frame, not fixed in post-production after a listing gets flagged. This means correct background thresholds, proper product-fill percentage within the frame, adequate resolution, and file naming conventions that match what the platform’s backend expects.
Model and lifestyle shoots — For apparel, accessories, and lifestyle brands that need product shown in context rather than isolated on a plain background. This includes both studio-based model shoots and on-location lifestyle photography when a brand’s positioning calls for it.
Studio rental — If your own team already has a photographer and just needs professional space, lighting, and backdrops, both our Chandni Chowk and Karol Bagh studios are available to rent by the day.
Reels and short-form video — Increasingly, product photography and product video go hand in hand. We shoot short-form video content for reels, product launches, and social media, using the same lighting setups as our photo shoots so the visual language stays consistent across a brand’s photo and video content.
Every package includes shoot time, retouching, and export in the file formats your platform actually requires. We don’t hand back a folder of unedited RAW files and call the job done — the deliverable is always something you can upload directly.
Two Studio Locations in Delhi
One of the things that sets FRT Studios apart from a lot of single-location competitors is that we operate two full studios in different parts of the city, which means most clients in Central and West Delhi are within a reasonably short trip of one of our locations.
Chandni Chowk Studio Our primary and original studio is in Old Delhi, at 1170/1240, Kucha Mahajani, Chandni Chowk, Delhi 110009 — a short walk from Delhi’s wholesale jewellery and textile markets. This location is where the majority of our jewellery, silver, and export catalogue shoots happen, largely because a lot of our clients are already sourcing product from the surrounding markets and can drop off samples the same day without needing to travel across the city. If your business is anywhere near Old Delhi, Sadar Bazar, or the Chandni Chowk trading area, this is almost certainly the more convenient studio for you.
Karol Bagh Studio Our second location is in Beadon Pura, Karol Bagh (Building 2682, Gali 2, First Floor, Delhi 110005) — convenient for clients on the west side of the city or near the Karol Bagh metro corridor. This studio runs the exact same equipment, lighting, and team as Chandni Chowk, so there’s no compromise in quality depending on which one is closer to you. It tends to be the preferred option for ecommerce sellers, D2C brands, and model shoots that don’t require the same proximity to the jewellery trade.
Both studios serve clients across Central and West Delhi, including Sadar Bazar, Paharganj, Rajendra Place, and Pitampura, and we regularly work with sellers who ship product in from NCR — Gurugram, Noida, and Ghaziabad — for a single shoot day. If you’re unsure which location makes sense for your shoot, tell us roughly what you’re shooting and where you’re coming from, and we’ll point you to the more convenient studio.
Built for Amazon and Flipkart Sellers
A significant part of our commercial photography work is catalogue photography for marketplace sellers, and this is an area where we’ve deliberately built our process around platform requirements rather than treating them as an afterthought. We shoot with Amazon’s and Flipkart’s image guidelines in mind from the first frame — correct white background thresholds, minimum product-fill percentage within the image, adequate resolution for zoom functionality, and file naming conventions that match what each platform’s backend expects.
The reason this matters more than it might sound is that a huge number of sellers lose time and money on photography that looks fine to the human eye but gets rejected by a marketplace’s automated image review, or worse, gets approved but performs poorly because it doesn’t meet best practices for that specific platform. If you’re prepping a new catalogue for Amazon or Flipkart, we can shoot, retouch, and deliver export-ready files without you needing to understand the technical specifications yourself — figuring that out is our job, not yours.
This same platform-first approach extends to our jewellery export photography, where international buyers and marketplaces often have their own separate image standards around colour accuracy and macro detail, and to our reels and video content, which we shoot with the vertical, short-form requirements of platforms like Instagram and YouTube Shorts already factored into framing and lighting.
Pricing, Without the Guessing Game
We know pricing is usually the first question on anyone’s mind before they book a shoot, so here’s the honest answer rather than a vague “contact us for pricing” line: cost depends primarily on three things — how many products you’re shooting, whether you need model or lifestyle photography in addition to plain product shots, and how fast you need the final files delivered.
A small catalogue shoot for a handful of SKUs, shot against a plain background with standard retouching, costs considerably less than a full commercial campaign involving multiple models, styled sets, and video content. Rather than quote a single number that won’t actually apply to most people reading this page, we prefer to give a straight package quote once we know roughly what you’re shooting. There are no hidden add-ons for basic retouching or standard file delivery — what we quote is what you pay, and any additional cost (rush turnaround, extra locations, additional models) is flagged upfront before the shoot, not added to the invoice afterward.
If budget is a genuine constraint, it’s worth telling us that upfront too — a lot of ecommerce sellers assume commercial photography is out of reach until they see what a scaled-down catalogue package actually costs.
Why Businesses Choose FRT Studios Over a Generic Studio
There’s no shortage of photography studios listed across Delhi, so it’s fair to ask what makes this one worth choosing. A few honest reasons, rather than generic marketing points:
- Marketplace-ready from day one. We shoot to Amazon and Flipkart specification as a default, not as an optional add-on service — this alone saves a lot of sellers from listing rejections and reshoots.
- Two full locations, one consistent standard. Chandni Chowk for jewellery and export work, Karol Bagh for everything else, so you’re rarely far from a fully equipped studio regardless of where in the city you’re based.
- One team across the full pipeline. Beyond the shoot itself, we also handle retouching, and if needed, the website or catalogue page the images end up living on — so you’re not coordinating between three separate vendors for one product launch.
- Built for repeat volume, not one-off shoots. If you’re shooting new stock monthly rather than once a year, our process — from booking to file delivery — is structured around that rhythm rather than treating every shoot as a fresh, from-scratch project.
- Direct, practical communication. We work in whichever mix of English and Hindi is easiest for you, and we’d rather explain a technical requirement in plain terms than leave you guessing what a “compliant image” actually means for your platform.
Often Asked Questions
How much does a commercial photoshoot cost in Delhi?
Charges depend on the product count (how many products we have to shoot), if the shoot requires a model or lifestyle shot and also if you want the deliver of images delivered quickly. As you can imagine catalog shots (very small ones for businesses with little investment) are less costly than a full fledged campaign so just tell us exactly what your shoot demands and we would be glad to offer a quote.
Where is FRT Studios based in Delhi?
The studio has two location - one in Old Delhi, at Chandni Chowk, which would be the ideal place for someone looking to shoot with clothes and jewelers and the second in Karol Bagh to shoot with other merchandise keeping in consideration accessibility, especially in West Delhi as well as proximity to a metro corridor.
Are your photos shot that conforms to Amazon and Flipkart image guidelines?
All our product catalog shoots are always produced at the stipulated compliant resolution, size, background with perfect focus on and positioning of the product in every shot, you do not have to fear your products being rejected for picture parameters upon you uploading them.
Is there any option of hiring the space along with your team or solo with my team at either of the two locations?
Yes studio space is offered with our existing infrastructure at each location to shoot products in case an external photographer (with their own lighting and equipment or using ours) wants to independently conduct a productshoot with you without hiring us as a photography partner.
Do you handle jewelry photography and other precious items for export as well?
All types of jewelry shots including those for silver and diamonds, are taken at Chandni Chowk studio specifically for export to respective international markets, as we've realized over time, majority clients taking advantage of this service had jewelry shops based in that area, were accustomed to working from here, and dealt directly with companies exporting them.
How long is a product photoshoot time in general?
A product catalog with approximately up to 50-100 products would usually be done within a days' shoot. A campaign shoot that needs to cover one to two days generally requires model shots; the schedule takes longer depending on the shoot content and its nature; but would typically cover one to two days.
Do you shoot product images also for small or new businesses, without regard for brands already established?
Most of our clients comprise small business entrepreneurs or new companies setting up shop, and need us to shoot their very first catalog from scratched for online businesses, our product catalog shoot package is available even at reduced rate depending on product volume to accommodate such clientele.
